Westmark

Comprising of two, residential towers Westmark is located in Milton two kilometres from Brisbane city. Tower 1 of the development has 20 storeys and Tower 2 has 16 storeys, an includes a recreational deck on level 6 and a sky lounge on level 20.

HVAC Queensland was contracted by Devine Construction to Design and Construct the apartment air conditioning, carpark exhaust and associated ventilation plant for both towers. Construction began for HVAC in October 2014 with completion in October 2016.

The apartment air-conditioning units are based VRF heat recovery units with common air cooled condensing units for each floor of units located in the Car park and on the roof of each tower.

Project technical details

Tower 1

  • 405 (Four hundred and five) Heat Recovery VRF systems serving apartment living areas and bedrooms, with 14(fourteen) outdoor condensing units on the roof and 5 (five) outdoor condensing units located in the car parks
  • Individual air conditioning power metering is provided by a communication network between the indoor units to computer located in the building managers office
  • Carpark exhaust system control by via CO monitoring
  • Individual toilet, bathroom and laundry exhaust for each apartment
  • Stairwell pressurization and miscellaneous exhaust systems
  • Water cooled packaged air conditioning units for the retail tenancies with a roof adiabatic cooler
  • DX cassette fan coil unit serving the level 6 Gymnasium and associated toilet/change room ventilation

 

Tower 2

  • 256 (two hundred and fifty six) Heat Recovery VRF systems serving apartment living areas and bedrooms, with 11 (Eleven) outdoor condensing units on the roof and 5 (five) outdoor condensing units located in the car parks
  • Individual air conditioning power metering is provided by a communication network between the indoor units to computer located in the building managers office
  • Carpark exhaust system control by via CO monitoring
  • Individual toilet, bathroom and laundry exhaust for each apartment
  • Stairwell pressurization and miscellaneous exhaust systems
